2018 Brought Many Reasons to Celebrate

Only fitting that it closed out celebrating a Gator Victory in a New Year’s Six Bowl Game!

2018 brought many reasons to celebrate - most notably the addition to the family of a delightful baby niece!

Professionally, it was truly a landmark year. Below is a recap of some of the highlights.

  • Promoted to Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at Morehouse School of Medicine my first year of eligibility

  • Awarded the University of Florida College of Medicine Outstanding Young Alumna Award

  • Published my first book - Pediatric Mental Health for Primary Care Providers

  • Was a Speaker at 3 National Psychiatry Conferences and 3 regional pediatric conferences

  • Atlanta Business Chronicle Healthcare Hero Finalist

  • Best of Atlanta - Psychiatry

  • Hidden Figures Black Women in Science Award for Service in Psychiatry

  • Expanded the online magazine, OurselvesBlack to a high-quality print version as the Executive Editor

  • Served as a forensic consultant on cases in 5 different states

  • And launched the beta version of a software and website to assist with Pediatric Integrated Care - PedsMentalHealth
